Pune, India - 18 July 2026:
Payment security requirements continue to evolve alongside changing
technologies, transaction environments and cyber risks. For professionals
responsible for securing payment ecosystems, keeping pace requires more than
knowing individual compliance requirements - it requires understanding how
those requirements translate into everyday security practices.
With this focus, QRC Assurance And Solutions hosted the Pune edition of QRC Knowledge Connect – Learning Series, bringing industry professionals together for an engaging session on “Navigating PCI Security Standards.”  The learning-led initiative created a forum for professionals to strengthen their understanding of the PCI Security Standards ecosystem through expert perspectives, practical discussions and peer interaction.
Creating a Space for
Continuous Learning
Cybersecurity and compliance are disciplines where learning cannot stop with certification or an annual assessment. Standards evolve. Technology environments change. New payment models emerge. And organizations continually need to reassess how security requirements apply to their people, processes and technology.  QRC Knowledge Connect was created around this need for continued professional learning. Rather than approaching PCI Security Standards solely from an audit or compliance perspective, the Pune edition focused on helping professionals better understand the standards, exchange experiences and connect security requirements with the challenges organizations encounter in practice.
Navigating the PCI Security
Standards Landscape
The session was led by Abhijit Bhokare, who shared his expertise and guided participants through the evolving payment-security landscape. The discussion around Navigating PCI Security Standards helped participants strengthen their understanding of the broader principles behind protecting payment environments and maintaining effective security practices. The greater challenge is understanding why a control exists, how it applies to a particular environment and how organizations can maintain its effectiveness as technologies and risks change. That practical interpretation formed an important part of the Knowledge Connect conversation. The discussion therefore reinforced a broader principle: Compliance demonstrates alignment at a point in time effective security requires organizations to continually understand and manage the risks behind the requirements.  Knowledge-sharing sessions can help bridge that gap by allowing practitioners to compare interpretations, discuss implementation challenges and learn from experiences beyond their own organizations.
Learning Through Professional
Exchange
Knowledge Connect was designed
not only around expert-led learning but also around interaction between
professionals. The Pune edition created opportunities for discussion,
practical learning and meaningful networking, enabling participants to
exchange perspectives with peers working across cybersecurity, information
security, compliance and risk management. Participant feedback reflected this
collaborative environment. The exchanges are an important part of the Knowledge
Connect model. In fast-moving areas such as cybersecurity and payment security,
professional communities can provide valuable opportunities to understand how
others are approaching similar challenges.
The Learning Continues
The Pune edition concluded with a simple idea at the heart of QRC Knowledge Connect:  stronger security starts with stronger understanding.
As payment environments and PCI Security Standards continue to evolve, professionals need opportunities to continuously update their knowledge, challenge assumptions and learn from others working across the ecosystem. The Pune session was one step in that continuing journey. QRC Assurance And Solutions looks forward to welcoming professionals to upcoming Knowledge Connect – Learning Series editions and expanding the conversation across cybersecurity, compliance, governance and risk.
