QRC Partners with ISACA Manila for ISO Summit'26

Makati City, Philippines - 23 July 2026: Organizations today are managing information security, privacy, artificial intelligence, business continuity and quality against an increasingly interconnected risk landscape. Yet the management systems governing these areas are often implemented independently - creating duplicated processes, fragmented accountability and additional compliance effort. Addressing this challenge, QRC Assurance And Solutions partnered with ISACA Manila Chapter and I.T. Interaction Philippines Inc. (ITIP) for ISO Summit 2026: “Integrating Standards for Enterprise Resilience.”

Held at Makati Shangri-La in Makati City, the full-day summit brought together business leaders, executives, auditors, cybersecurity practitioners, privacy professionals, risk specialists, compliance teams and governance professionals to explore a more connected approach to organizational resilience.

From Multiple Standards to One Resilience Strategy

The central idea behind ISO Summit 2026 was straightforward: organizations should not have to manage every management system as an isolated compliance programme. The summit explored how five internationally recognized standards can work together:

  • ISO 9001 - Quality Management
  • ISO/IEC 27001 - Information Security Management
  • ISO 22301 - Business Continuity Management
  • ISO/IEC 27701 - Privacy Information Management
  • ISO/IEC 42001 - Artificial Intelligence Management

Individually, each addresses a distinct organizational priority. Together, they provide organizations with an opportunity to establish a more coordinated approach to governance, information security, privacy, AI governance, operational resilience and continual improvement. This integration becomes increasingly relevant as organizations face risks that rarely remain within the boundaries of a single function. An AI deployment, for example, may introduce information-security, privacy, quality and continuity considerations simultaneously. An integrated management-system approach can help organizations identify these dependencies and establish clearer accountability across them.

Turning Integration into Practice

A key focus of the summit was moving the integrated-management-system conversation from theory into practical implementation.  Vijayan Muralidaran led a session on the Fundamentals of Integrated ISO Systems, helping participants examine the principles behind bringing multiple management standards into a coordinated framework.  Roshel Liwanag-Baluyut extended the discussion by exploring the key benefits and real-world case studies of integrated standards, demonstrating how organizations can translate integration principles into operational practice. Effective integration involves identifying common governance structures, aligning processes, reducing unnecessary duplication and creating a management system capable of supporting multiple organizational objectives.

Enterprise Resilience as a Connected Discipline

The theme of “Integrating Standards for Enterprise Resilience” reflected a broader shift in how organizations are approaching governance. Information security cannot operate effectively without considering business continuity. Privacy increasingly intersects with cybersecurity and data governance. AI governance introduces new questions around accountability, risk and responsible technology use. Quality management provides structures for continual improvement across these areas.

The opportunity is therefore to move from separate compliance programmes toward a connected governance architecture. For organizations operating complex digital environments, this can provide greater consistency in areas such as risk assessment, policies, management reviews, internal audits, corrective actions and continual improvement. More importantly, integration can help management view resilience as an enterprise-level objective rather than the responsibility of individual compliance functions.

Building the Conversation with ISACA Manila

The summit also represented another step in QRC's growing engagement with the cybersecurity, governance and assurance community in the Philippines. Through the partnership between ISACA Manila Chapter, I.T. Interaction Philippines Inc. and QRC Assurance And Solutions, participants had access to a platform combining professional knowledge, industry experience and practical perspectives on international standards. The collaboration reflects the importance of professional communities in helping organizations understand not only how standards are changing, but how they can be applied effectively within real operating environments.

Building Future-Ready Organizations Through Integrated Assurance

Enterprise resilience cannot be achieved through one standard, one certification or one control. It depends on an organization's ability to understand interconnected risks and establish management systems capable of responding to them consistently. ISO Summit 2026 demonstrated how standards covering quality, information security, business continuity, privacy and artificial intelligence can contribute to that objective when organizations approach them as parts of a common governance framework rather than independent initiatives.

Explore an Integrated ISO Roadmap

Organizations already operating - or planning to implement - multiple ISO management systems can evaluate opportunities to align their governance structures, audits and certification programmes.

A coordinated approach to ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, ISO/IEC 42001 and ISO 22301 can help organizations reduce duplicated effort while building a more connected foundation for security, privacy, AI governance, quality and resilience.
